Newsletter, Inxmail and CRM (CAS genesisWorld)
You can subscribe to a newsletter on our website. If you register for this, we process the data you provide (e.g. email address, name) for the purpose of regularly sending the newsletter on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Registration takes place using the double opt-in procedure, i.e. after registering you will receive an email in which you must confirm your subscription.
For sending our newsletter, we use the service Inxmail of Inxmail GmbH, Wentzingerstr. 17, 79106 Freiburg, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Inxmail in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Inxmail processes the data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and on servers within the EU/Germany. Within the scope of sending the newsletter, we can evaluate whether and when newsletters are opened and which links are clicked in order to improve our content and offers.
For managing our customer and prospective customer data, we use the CRM system “CAS genesisWorld” of CAS Software AG, CAS-Weg 1 - 5, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. In CAS genesisWorld, we centrally store contact data (e.g. name, contact details, company affiliation), communication histories (e.g. emails, telephone notes, appointments) as well as information on enquiries, offers and ongoing business relationships.
Via an interface between CAS genesisWorld and Inxmail, newsletter recipients or selected contacts from CAS genesisWorld can be transferred to Inxmail in order to carry out target group-specific email campaigns. After sending a mailing, information on subscriptions and unsubscriptions, undeliverabilities (bounces) and, if applicable, further reaction data (e.g. opens, clicks) are transferred back from Inxmail to CAS genesisWorld and assigned there to the corresponding address data records.
Processing in CAS genesisWorld is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests in efficient and transparent customer and contact management, sales management and service processing (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); insofar as the data is required for the performance of a contract or for carrying out pre-contractual measures, the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data arising in this context is only stored for as long as it is necessary for the aforementioned purposes or statutory retention periods exist.
You can withdraw your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time with effect for the future, e.g. via the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter or via the contact details provided in the legal notice. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
