OEM Filters for Medical Devices 

Water in medicine has special requirements. Aqua free offers OEM solutions for sterile filtration and the removal of endotoxins and particles. The filters from Aqua free are available  as a sterile product and can be manufactured as a medical device in accordance with ISO 13485. 

Special features include the option of inline disinfection with hot water up to 95 °C or the reprocessability of the water filters. Reprocessing in accordance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC (MDD) can reduce plastic waste by up to 95%. 

Aqua free OEM filters are used for reprocessing devices for endoscopes and TEE probes and for the water supply in dialysis and heart-lung machines to remove bacteria and endotoxins from the water. The particular problem of contamination and biofilm formation in dental treatment units is prevented by inlet filters for dental treatment units and ENT units. 

Aqua free sterile filters are "all bacteria" filters with max 0.2 µm pore size and are tested for > Log7 bacteria reduction in accordance with ASTM F838. A 100 % test for membrane integrity is possible.
