The drinking water supply in commercial aircraft is often characterized by considerable microbiological contamination. To improve the microbiological safety and hygiene of drinking water on board commercial aircraft, Aqua free has developed a special water filter for Lufthansa Technik AG. 

The challenge was to design an innovative filter that could be integrated into standard Boeing and Airbus aircraft models without any modifications to the existing infrastructure. 

For this purpose, a two-component filter (dual stage filter) with minimal dimensions and extended service life was developed, which exceeds the service life of the previously used activated carbon filters by an impressive 100 %. 

Another outstanding feature is the ability of this filter to freeze under extreme conditions without being damaged - an aspect that cannot be achieved with most conventional membrane filters. 

Lufthansa Technik also uses this innovative filter successfully for its VIP customers.

For an international medical technology group and market leader in the field of endoscopy, Aqua free has developed a special filter system that makes the reprocessing of medical devices even safer and represents a new level of hygiene. 

The highlights of the filter system are 

1. Sterile filtration tested according to ASTM F838
2. Reduction of endotoxins for the first time

Aqua free developed and industrialized a unique three-stage filter for a home water dispenser for an innovative Berlin start-up company. The new filter consists of three purification stages to ensure the healthiest water available at all times: 

1. Mineralization 
2. Flavor improvement and particle reduction and 
3. Sterile filtration 

Another innovative feature of Aqua free is RFDI technology, which enables the filter in the water dispenser to be tracked and its performance measured.
