Custom OEM Filter Cartridges for Drinking Water

Aqua free develops and manufactures tailor-made membrane cartridges and filtration solutions using high-quality hollow fibre membranes.

The membranes are produced at our facility in Belgium from robust polyethersulphone (PES), are permanently hydrophilic, and are available in various pore sizes, making them ideal for microfiltration, sterile filtration, and ultrafiltration.

Aqua free filter cartridges can be manufactured in either dead-end or flushable configurations.

Structure of Aqua free Membranes

All our membranes feature an asymmetric wall structure and are characterised by an impressive flow rate with minimal pressure loss. This is achieved through a precisely engineered separation layer.

Our membranes are also frost-resistant and can be easily reactivated.

To prevent air blocking, a bundle of fibres made from a permanently hydrophobic variant of our membrane is integrated into each membrane module. This is particularly advantageous for mobile filters that are not permanently installed in pipework or when CO₂ needs to be introduced.
Our OEM membrane cartridges are fully customisable.

Production of Membrane Cartridges

The production of the membrane cartridges is monitored under a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.

Certificates for use in drinking water applications, the food sector, or as medical devices are available. International certifications such as NSF, ACE, KIWA or WRAS can also be provided.

Our sterile filter membranes meet stringent requirements, are tested according to ASTM F838, and achieve a filtration performance of >Log7 per cm² of filter surface area.
