We, the Aqua free Group, always have our fingers on the pulse of the latest changes due to our membership of numerous professional associations. We have access to standards, regulations and directives at all times and are therefore always in the know about developments in the water industry.
DVGW
Aqua free Service GmbH is a member of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e. V., DVGW). This association is committed to public welfare. As a recognised association, DVGW makes the technical rules and submits legislative proposals for the water / gas / sanitary sector. It regards itself as a network of expertise on all matters relating to the supply of water and gas - and has done so for 150 years. The services provided by the DVGW are extensive and its portfolio includes: technical consultancy; research & development; regulation & standardisation; testing; vocational training & qualifications; safety and quality management; professional information & knowledge transfer.
FIGAWA
We have been a full member of the German Association of Companies for Gas and Water Technologies (Bundesvereinigung der Firmen im Gas- und Wasserfach e. V., figawa) since 2020. We are represented there in various professional groups, for example “water use”, “water analysis” and “membrane technology”. We are also active in the “terminal filters” working group. We are working on the creation of a product standard and an innovative certification procedure for terminal filters as a medical device. Figawa is an important technical and scientific association in the professional water and gas sector, both from the manufacturers’ and the service providers’ side. The objective is to develop uniform technical requirements for water and gas applications and to promote standardisation. The aim is also to combine this commitment to competitive standardisation and the regulatory process, which will then form the basis for approval, testing and certification. In this way, the organisation sees itself as making a valuable contribution to the legal security of all actors in the market.
DVQST
Aqua free has been a supporting member of the German Association of Qualified Experts in Drinking Water Hygiene (Deutscher Verein der qualifizierten Sachverständigen für Trinkwasserhygiene e.V., DVQST) since 2020. The objective of DVQST (as an association of experienced experts) is to place greater focus on the security of hygiene in drinking water installations within the professional world. The association also aims to sensitise the public to the fact that the requirements of the German Drinking Water Ordinance (Trinkwasserverordnung, TrinkwV) must be complied with precisely and in accordance with the rules. DVQST aims to communicate the essential requirements for the maintenance of drinking water quality, and to make the regulatory framework and ordinances practice-focused and neutral.
SHK Hamburg
We have been a member of the Hamburg SHK-Innung [Fachverband Sanitär, Heizung Klempner Hamburg e.V. (Hamburg plumbers’ guild)] since 2021. Our membership ensures that we are always up-to-date on matters relating to explicit trade association knowledge, and the water sector in particular. We will be happy to provide you with exclusive information material about the water industry trade and its requirements (e.g. under the German Drinking Water Ordinance – TrinkwV). We take part in regular in-service training courses in this field.
