Mobile tanks and drinking water systems are particularly susceptible to contamination from microbiological impurities. Water tank hygiene is a constant concern for all leisure vehicles such as boats and motorhomes because these vehicles are usually only used for limited periods of time (often seasonally). One major cause of contamination is linked with the filling process because the cleanliness of the drinking water system depends primarily on the quality of the water to be stored.

It was against this backdrop that, during a two-year cooperation with the German environmental foundation DBU, the use of filter systems when filling tanks was developed, tested and found to be successful.

With its microscopic membrane, the AS Fill season filter ensures reliable retention of 99.99999% (7 log) of waterborne bacteria – and thus meets the specification for sterile water applied in medical facilities.

AS Fill season is easy to connect via the filters G½‘‘ screw thread and very easy to use. The basic accessories supplied allow quick and easy connection to available standpipes and hoses on site. The filling hose puts clean, bacteria free water into the tank.

Alternatively, an tank fill cap adapter can be used and is available.

The filter can then be safely stored in its hard plastic case, protected from damage and impurities, until the next time it is required. After the end of the usage period it is possible to dispose of the filter with normal domestic refuse.

Replacement filters can be obtained from specialist suppliers or direct from Aqua free.

AS Fill season is supplied in a hard plastic storage case with all of the key accessories necessary for connection and filling on site.

The storage case also provides space for adding any optional accessories, keeping the whole set safe, ready for use when needed.
